. For the questions below, I want you to do a bit ofresearch (if needed) to determine what would happen to healthytissue if the following proteins were missing. Pretend we canmagically make these proteins disappear. I have given you aspecific tissue or cell type for each protein.
a) connexin - astrocytes
b) claudins - bladder
c) desmocolin - cardiac cells
d) GTP-tubulin - actively dividing cells in a wound
e) kinesin - protein synthesis (any cell type)
f) hemidesmosome - epithelial cell layer
g) integrins - cancer cells
For a complete answer, explain what the normal functionof that protein is for that specific tissue or cell type. Thenexplain what would happen to the specific cell / tissue type, ifthe protein magically disappeared. Be specific in your answer.
