Identify the major and minor principle stresses, and 63, and the maximum shear stress, Tmax. C. Compute the mean effective stress and deviator stress, p and q. Note that p= (61 +03)/2 and q=01-03 for two-dimensional stress conditions where we ignore the intermediate principle stress, 02. D. Find and label the pole on the Mohr circle. E.
