- Calculate limiting reagent and theoreticalyield
Reacting 1,4-dimethoxybezene with 2 equivalents of2-methylpropan-2-ol (t-butyl alcohol) and sulfuric acid to get aproduct of 1,4-di-tert-butyl-2,5-dimethoxybenzene
Mass of sulfuric acid: 4 mL
Mass of 1,4-dimethoxybenzene: 1 gram
Mass of 2-methylpropan-2-ol: 2ml
o Sulfuric acid: 1.83 g/mL, 98.079g/mol
o 1,4-dimethoxybenzene: 0.790 g/mL, 138.1668g/mol
o 2-methylpropan-2-ol: 0.781 g/mL, 74.12g/mol
