(b) A compound steel column consists of two square concrete segments is shown in Figure Q4(b). Segment 1 has 100 mm edges and segment 2 has 150 mm edges. The column is subjected to torques of TB 8 kNm and Te 12 kNm to act in the direction given in Figure Q4(b). Take Gsteel = 81GPa. Determine maximum shear stress and angle of twist at point C.
