company is planning to move to a larger building in a new location. The new office will occupy a 3-story building and will be able to support every one of the planned 350 employees. You will have fiber connection available in your office from Bell. Your first project is to design the network for this new building. You will have to deliver a report with 4 parts: 1. Network diagram of the new building network. A complete diagram with all the network devices (routers, switches, etc) and the interconnections among them. The diagram has to show all the IP network addressing scheme (subnets) and ALL network device IP addresses. The network diagram must use the network icons according to the device functionality (routers, switches, wi-fi access points). (30/100 marks) 2. A table listing all the subnets in the network. The table must show: (20/100) a. Subnet (CIDR notation) b. Broadcast address First IP address c. d. Number of available IP addresses 3. A list of all networking devices that must be ordered to build the network. The list must include routers, switches, access-points. The list does not need to add any laptops or servers. For each device the list must include: (30/100) a. the number of interface ports b. the interface connector of the ports c. speed of each port d. the list of protocols and functions each device must support (for example: NAT, DHCP server, BGP, IS-IS, WEP, MIMO, 802.11g, 802.11n, and others). 4. A routing table, with all necessary information to configure all the routes in the network. Your table should have, for each subnet: (20/100) a. Network destination b. Netmask c. Router (gateway) d. Route metric Business Requirements for your network 1. You must design an wi-fi network that will enable employees to access the secure office network and the Internet. 2. You must provide a guest network for visitors. The guest network should not allow access any resource in the secure office network. The guest network will only

You must provide a guest network for visitors. The guest network should not allow access any resource in the secure office network. The guest network will only allow users to reach the Internet. 3. You must follow the Cisco Best Practices Wireless LAN Design document guidelines. You will work with private IP addresses and use NAT to connect your office network to the Internet. You can choose any valid private IP addresses, but you MUST include an identification of your group in your addresses. Use the ASCII table to find the decimal code that corresponds to your Group Letter. For example, if your group is Group A. your network MUST contain the decimal octet 65. If you are group G, your network addresses must contain the octet 71, and so on. Use DECIMAL ASCII codes. You are creating a project documentation, and this document will be read by your peers and your leadership. Your document should be clean, organized in sections, with a proper introduction, and a summary at the end. Remember to follow the Academic Integrity Policy. Your work must be original work. If you cite reference material and include a reference section at the end. You should submit a Word or PDF document.
