Question 1 [14] A cantilever beam (Fig. 1) that is fixed at A and free at D is subjected to a distributed load AB of uniform intensity 2kNm-¹1. There is also a uniformly varying load with an intensity of 2kNm-¹ at B and the maximum intensity of 6kNm-¹ at C, followed by another distributed load of uniform intensity 3kNm-¹ from C to the free end.
