Blade thickness occupied 8 percent of the circumference flow area. Impeller inlet diameter is half of the outlet diameter. Total losses in casing and impeller are 8 percent of the head developed by impeller (i.e. Euler head). If the pump is working at 800 r.p.m., find: i. ii. iii. iv. the pump power input in horsepower HP, if overall efficiency is 75 percent the outlet blade angle the stability of the pump inlet blade angle if flow velocity is constant.
