I am having problems with solving standard normaldistribution problems similar to the one below. Can you includedetailed steps if possible? I am trying to prepare for anexam with very little guidance from teacher.
Suppose the amount of time customers have to wait for theirorder at a coffee shop has an approximate normal distribution witha mean of 116 seconds and a standard deviation of 17.2 seconds.
a) What is the z-score? (I would like to know how cansolve this problem without knowing the xvalue)
b.) What proportion of the waiting times is shorter than thez-score you found? Include a sketch to illustrate solution.
