Can I please get some help on how to calculate the BRS Scores. Iam currently using excel but i could also get it done in MATLAB.Please help!
Briefly, we computed the centroids (mean) ofthe 71-gene signature in B (58 B genes), c(B), andR (13 R genes), c(R), and for each tumor t we definedthe BRAFV600E-RAS score(BRS) of t as the difference between the distance of t from c(B)and c(R):
BRS(t) = |v(t)-c(B)|2 -|v(t)-c(R)|2

where v(t) is the vector of mRNA expression values of the 71genes in t, and the distance |x-y|2 is thenormalized Euclidean distance between the expression vectors.
Tumors with negative BRS (closer to B than to R) weredefined BRAFV600E-like, while tumors withpositive BRS (closer to R than to B) weredefined RAS-like.
