A researcher is interested in studying whether mild sensorydeprivation has an effect on hearing threshold. They recruit 15participants who agree to spend one hour in a sensory deprivationchamber, a dark, silent tank where participants float on heavilysalted water, deprived of nearly all external stimulation. Theresearcher tests participants for hearing threshold before theyenter the tank and then after their hour of sensory deprivation.Lower scores on the test mean a lower hearing threshold. Theresearcher runs the statistics using jamovi.
