QUESTION 4 a) b) Scientists have determined that when nutrients are sufficient, the number of bacteria grows exponentially. Suppose there are 1000 bacteria initially and increase to 3000 after ten minutes. How many bacteria are there after 1 hour? The density of a population x km from the centre of a city is D(x)=Ae**. Given that the population density at the centre of the of the city is 10,000 people per square km and the density 10 km from the centre is 6,000 people per square km.
