5A. Given the following reaction: Mg (s) + 2 HCI (a) MgCl₂ (aq) + H₂(g) A student reacts a cube of Mg (s) measuring 0.500 inches on a side (density - 1.74 g/cm³) with 17.0 g of an HCl(aq) solution that is 35.3% HCI by mass (density HCI (aq) = 1.210 g/mL). If the hydrogen gas produced by the reaction is collected over water at 20.0°C in a 2500-ml flask and the pressure measured at the end of the reaction was 458 torr, i) what was the percent yield for the reaction? II) what mass of Mg metal remains unused, if any?
