Represent the Carnot cycle as a square on the T-S plane. Nowinscribe within the square of a circle of maximum diameter D whichrepresents a cycle. Noting that both cycles operate between thesame temperature limits T1 (source) and T2 (sink), demonstrate thatthe Carnot cycle is the more efficient.
