Open the Energy Skate Park Simulation(https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation ... skate-park). Go tothe “Playground” tab at the bottom. Play with the simulation for afew minutes: adding track, resetting the skater when they fall offthe track, resetting the track, viewing the energy bargraphs (click green plus icon on the left),etc. Once you are comfortable with the simulation, answer thequestions below.
2. Click on the “Reference Height” check box (at thebottom-left) and ensure the energy bar graph button (top-left) hasbeen clicked open. Move the line from the ground to the bottom ofthe track. Note the movement of the skater and how PE and totalenergy changes on the bar graph as you move the line around. Youmay find it helpful to pause at points here. Again, ensure theskater is placed, not dropped, onto the track.
