Bahrain Insurance (BI) is a Bahraini national insurance enterprise that aims at bringing purpose to life, preparing the workforce with new skills and capabilities, enhancing consumer engagement, digitizing for cost optimization and capital efficiency, and navigating through structural change and realignment. Clients access their insurance packages through the enterprise's website (BIWS) or by personal attendance to the BI. BI provides Life and non-life insurance programs to individual and business clients. The Life insurance program in Bl is composed of three packages, Personal insurance package, Health insurance package, and Life insurance package. For the personal insurance package, clients enter personal information via the BIWS, select the options given, and pay amount provided. However, they need to attend personally to the BI for a meeting before the approval. Health insurance package requires clients provide medical reports from the Ministry of health (MOH) located in Bahrain, enter credentials, enter possible disease options to insure on, and pay for the monthly amount. Alternatively, for the Life insurance package, clients go through the following tasks: Step 1: Submission of claim, Step 2: Initial review is carried out by the BI, Step 3: Eligibility is granted if meeting the requirements, Step 4: Pricing is provided by the BI, Step 5: Benefits adjudication will be suggested to clients, Step 6: Medical necessity review is examined by the BI from an 1 official medical institute; Ministry of health (MOH) located in Bahrain, Step 7: BI runs a Risk review and Step 8: an approval or rejection is given to clients via SMS message sent to their mobile phone numbers through an SMS server located in the Bl. The Non-life insurance program is composed of Car insurance package, Building insurance package, and Business insurance package. The Life and non-life departments of Bl are headed by one manager each and each of the divisions is headed by one supervisor, while each insurance package is assigned one Sales Agent. There are many types of data that are analyzed in insurance data analytics including personal information such as place of residence, (location, marital or family status, education, occupation, income level and other client data (concerning their driving habits, etc.). Information is gathered by Internet of Things (IoT) sensors. For homes, sensors for vehicles and vehicle maintenance history. Moreover, healthcare data and records of insured persons (especially in health insurance) is collected and processed by insurance and related companies. Insurance claims history and incident-related information is checked to prevent fraud or to decide about premiums. It is also possible to collect open-source content which is free to use without permission and social data related to insured persons. Information is collected from a variety of sources in insurance, such as social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., and other public sources, e. g. registries, statistical data. Companies' call logs are also often checked to analyze possible scenarios of claims management and monitor the quality of services. The departments of BI are connected via local area networks. Each department has 20 personal computers, 20 personal printers, and are connected via a gateway.
