4. A simple air standard Brayton cycle is used to operate a gas-turbine (GT) power plant. In this GT power plant, minimum and maximum pressure limits are 100 and 1200 kPa, respectively. The working fluid enters in the compressor at a rate of 150 m³/min and at 30°C, however, the inlet and outlet temperatures of the working fluid to and from the turbine are 1034°C and 500°C, respectively. If the isentropic efficiencies of the compressor and turbine used in this GT power plant are 82% and 100%, respectively, determine (a) the net power output, (b) the back work ratio and (c) the thermal efficiency of the cycle. Show the cycle on T-s and p-v diagrams. [5]
