A frame ABCD is located on the horizontal plane as shown in panel(a). The materials of bar AB and CD are steel, [o]=140MPa. The cross sections of AB and CD are circular: d=40mm, L=400mm. A block with Q=200N free falls upon point D with height h=20mm. Check the strength of bar AB according to 3rd Strength Theory. As is known, when the same frame is subjected to a static load Q as shown in panel (b), the deflection of section B and C are 0.16mm and -0.16mm.
