A concrete column must be 16 x 20 in. for architectural andconstruction reasons. It is 15 ft tall and sup- ports a load of DL= 150 k, LL = 180 k. Design the steel reinforcement (barsand ties) using 4 ksi concrete and 40 ksi steel. Use dead loadfactor of 1.25 and live load factor of 1.5.
