-1 g(t) 5 4 32 TO 1 10 12 3 4 Consider each of the following separate questions: 1. In the above graph, find the Average Rate of Change of the function on the interval -1 < t ≤ 2. (As a refresher, this means on the t-values from t = -1 to t = 2) 2. For the function f(t) = (t − 1)², find the average rate of change on the same interval, -1 ≤ t ≤ 2. 3. We know that a certain population of deer, P, depends on the week of the year, W. We also know that P(6) - P(2) = 19. What is the AROC and what does it mean, in terms of the context (deer population)? 4. Explain: How could you measure the AROC of a function from a table of values? Create an example to illustrate this. Show all steps and explain them, as if you were explaining HOW to do this problem to someone not in this class. Use plain English whenever possible. Refer to the "Instructions for Community Problems" document under "Course Information" for more help. These are graded using a rubric.
