Q2. A coiled spring has a natural length 0.5 m and a modulus of elasticity of λ = 45 N. When an object is attached to the spring, its total length extends to 0.85 m. a) Determine the mass of this object. b) The object is pulled down further until the total length of the spring is 1 metre, c) and then it is released from rest. Calculate the initial acceleration of the object. (3) After being released, the object oscillates up and down with simple harmonic motion (SHM). Determine the period of this oscillation.
