Assignment 1.1: Rock Cycle Diagram - Due July 13th Due Jul 13 by 11:59pm Points 40 Submitting a media recording or a file upload Available Jun 30 at 12am - Aug 8 at 11:59pm Please design your own rock cycle diagram. Be sure to show all three rock types, and the processes that affect each one. See slideshow for more details, and as a sort of template too, if you get stuck. I am not grading this on your artistic ability, but rather on effort and accuracy. Check out the rubric below! Please do not blatantly plagiarize somebody else's diagram. Structurally, you can copy their organization and/or structure, but not aesthetically. No posers! There are many rock cycle diagrams on the internet that don't show all the connections. If you use any of these as a guide, please be sure to add in the parts where each rock type can become itself. The main mistake students make on this assignment is they forget that each rock type can become itself, such as an igneous rock melting, then refreezing back into an igneous rock. These closed loop relationships must be represented on your diagram! Rock Cycle Diagram Criteria Effort Does it look like you actually spent time working on this, or does it seem "thrown together" at the last minute? Accuracy You have the three rock types and the processes that form each of them. Design The diagram makes sense and each rock type is connected to each other rock type, as well as to themselves. There should be at least 9 arrows to label on your diagram.
