He reports trying marijuana and enjoying it, he occasionally drinks a couple of beers at parties but doesn't really enjoy the taste. Jake likes the sensation of being 'buzzed' after consuming alcohol, but still prefers marijuana. Jake was referred for treatment because he was found smoking marijuana with ninth graders after school behind the stands at the baseball field. Some additional background information on Jake: Makes good grades but sometimes gets in trouble for goofing off in class. • Wants to go to college but not sure about his career path. ● Enjoys athletics and all sports, he has made friends by playing on the baseball team. • Jake was very introverted up until third grade . His father has a temper and works as a insurance agent. The father was described as "angry and sullen." His mother does not work. Jake has two younger siblings. There is no history of alcohol or drug use in Jake's family.
