You view the patients medication list and you see the following - hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg PO daily, lisinopril 20mg PO daily, metoprolol 50mg daily, and pravastatin 40mg PO at bedtime. What is the rationale behind the prescription of so many drugs to manage hypertension? Is there anything this patient can do non-pharmacologically to manage their cardiovascular conditions?
