Use the data set "ceosal2" to answer the following. (i) Find the average salary and average tenure in the sample. (ii) How many CEOs are in their first year as a CEO? Hint: be careful with variable definitions here, it may not be ceoten = 1. (iii) Estimate the model log(salary) = Bo+B₁ceoten +u and report the estimates, sample size, and R². (iv) Given your answer to part (iii), what is the predicted percent increase in salary given an additional year as CEO? (v) Is this the ceteris parabus effect of CEO tenure on CEO salary? Why or why not? Use the data to support your answer, e.g. provide correlation coefficients. (vi) Make a scatter plot of log(salary) and log(mktval). Based on this, should we be worried that regression error terms from a regression involving these variables will be heteroskedastic?
