An advertising agency would like to create an advertisement for a very large supermarket to claim that the average waiting time in the check-out line is less than 5 minutes. The agency measured the time from when a customer enters the check- out line to when the customer pays the cashier for 125 randomly selected customers at different check-out lines and found that the average time was 4.7 minutes with a standard deviation of 1.3 minute. The appropriate set of hypotheses for this situation is (a) Ho: u≤ 4.7 vs. H₁: µ>4.7 (b) Ho: u24.7 vs. H₁: μ< 4.7 (c) Ho: u≥5 vs. H₁: μ<5 (d) Ho: u≤5 vs. H₁: >5
