The University is considering a policy that all student emailsshould be answered in less than 12 hours. ULFA has suggested thatthis a non issue, and Instructors are already responding to studentemails in less than 12 hours on average.
From previous studies it is known that the population varianceof the response time is equal to 100. The Data file associated withthis question contains a sample of 15 student emails and how longit took instructors from three different departments to respond tothose emails. Use the dataset to answer the followingquestions:
A Design a hypothesis test with alpha = .05 and use it todetermine if the Econ Instructor would meet this new policyrequirement and is answering emails in less than 12 hours onaverage. Use the rejection region approach but also Make sure youreport and explain the p-value.
