4. You administered a questionnaire/battery that measures anti-social personality traits to a sample of 62 incarcerated individuals that have committed violent crimes. Higher scores on this questionnaire indicate greater tendencies towards anti-social personality traits. In the general population, the questionnaire has a mean of 25. The mean of your sample is 27. You want to compute a One-sample T-test to test the hypothesis that your sample has a higher score compared to the population. Your research assistant was too busy watching re-runs of "The Bachelor" to finish computing the necessary statistics, and all she gave you was the SS =925. Given what you know, test your hypothesis, write out and perform the 4 steps and make your decision. (Use the .05 level.) Also calculate the effect size of this result (Cohen's d) and write up the result in APA format. (10 points) 5. You examine the impact of COVID-19 on Mental Health Resiliency; a measure of an individual's ability to withstand the impacts of stress, anxiety, and financial insecurity on one's mood and emotional well-being. Mental Health Resiliency scores range from 0 to 20, with higher scores indicating more resilience. You want to test the hypothesis that COVID- 19, has made people more resilient. You happen to have measured this mental health resiliency metric in 5 individuals before COVID-19 broke out, and are now examining this measure at the peak of COVID-19. From the data below, write out and perform the 4 steps for a related samples T-test and make your decision (Use the .05 level). Calculate the effect size of this result (Cohen's d) and write up the result in APA format. (10 points) Before COVID-19 Peak COVID-19 11 12 Q 11 6 14 13 15 11
