Question 5 A low pass filter with a damping of 15 dB at 3.5 kHz shall be designed. Note: You can solve this question analytically or using a linearisation. As exercise you may try both. (a) Calculate the corner frequency and time constant of the low pass filter. (b) Select real components for the filter, to generate a (DC) output impedance of approximalty 5 k12. You may use capacitors from the E12 series and resistors from the E96 series. (c) The selection of real components has altered the properties of the filters. Which property got your priority? (d) The application requires a maximum phase shift of 60°. Can you meet this requirement with your filter? (e) Will you observe a phase lag or a phase lead? (1) Is it sufficient to use the linear approximation in this question? Provide your reasoning. fc = 632 Hz two options: R=5.36 k12, C = 47 nF oder R=4.53k2, C = 56nF No. y = -80 Phase lag
