7. Maximize Z = 5x + 3y subject to: (5 marks) x + 2y < 10 2x + y 24 x, y ≥ 0 Clearly state the maximum value of Z subject to these constraints and the coordinates (x, y) at which it occurs. 8. A produce grower is purchasing fertilizer containing three nutrients: A, B, and C. The minimum weekly requirements are 80 units of A, 120 units of B, and 240 units of C. There are two blends of fertilizer on the market: Blend I costs $8 per bag, and contains 2 units of A, 6 units of B, and 4 units of C. Blend Il costs $10 per bag, and contains 2 units of A, 2 units of B, and 12 units of C. How many bags of each blend should the grower buy each week in order to minimize the cost while still meeting the nutrient requirements? (6 marks) Note DO NOT SOLVE. WRITE THE SYSTEM OF CONSTRAINTS AND THE OBJECTIVE FUNCTION. 9. A manufacturer produces 2 models of TV sets. Model A requires 1 hours of electronics work, 2 hours of assembly work, and 3 hour of finishing work. Model B requires 2, 1, and 2 hours of electronics, assembly, and finishing work respectively. In one week, there are 140 hours available for electronics work, 100 hours for assembly, and 200 hours for finishing. How many models of each type should be produced each week if all available work hours are to be used? ( 6 marks) Note DO NOT SOLVE. WRITE THE SYSTEM OF CONSTRAINTS.
