PART II BALANCED AND UNBALANCED THREE PHASE SYSTEMS DIRECTIONS:With the aid of the table for the formulas in three phase systems, solve the following problems by drawing the equivalent three phase circuits with the correct label. 1. A balanced Y-connected load with a phase impedance of 40 + j25 is supplied by a balanced, positive sequence A-connected source with a line voltage of 210 V. Calculate the phase currents. Use Var as reference. 2. A positive-sequence, balanced A-connected source supplies a balanced A-connected load. If the impedance per phase of the load is 18 + j122 and I, = 19.202/35° A, find 143 and VAB: Answer: 11.094/65° A, 240/98.69° V.
3. ab In a balanced A-Y circuit, Van = 240/15° and Zy = (12 + /15) N. Calculate the line currents. Answer: 7.21/-66.34º A, 7.21/-173.66° A, 7.21/53.66° A.
