PROJECT I Problem Statement: For the 2D-geometry indicated and assigned to each student with individual data set, determine numerically (via finite-difference method (FDM) by hand-calculation or using a computer), the potentials at four nodes (A, B, C, D) situated in a dielectric medium of permittivity (e. X 6.) as shown in Fig. P.1. The dielectric medium is made of nine identical squares (dx d cach) and it is biased on its sides with voltages V. V. 2 With reference to PROJECT I and Fig, P.1, each student is assigned with a Group # and corresponding data set as given below. Each student should submit a detailed Report consisting of: a c) a) Statement of the problem with a neat diagram of the specified 2D-geometry with relevant indications of boundary conditions and pertinent details b) Clear statements of the boundary conditions: (Type etc.) A step-by-step hand calculation or a computer algorithm (MatLab/C/C++) on finite- difference method (FDM) applied to the structure of 2D-geometry d) Develop a matrix depicting the linear equations on the unknowns: VA, Vy. Vc. Vo e) Calculated potentials at the nodes A,B,C,D: {VA, Vs. Ve. Vo} € Listing of calculated/computed results
