R-5.30cm 1,-0.600m robike You are about to bike into campus, when you notice you have a flat tire. You grab your bike pump, but it does not seem to be working. Upon further inspection, you notice there is a kink in the hose that is blocking the air from reaching your tire. (a) You push down on the pump with all of your weight, and your mass is 90 kg The radius of the pump's chamber is 5.3 cm and the plunger is initially at 0.6 m height. What is the pressure change inside the bike pump chamber, assuming that the outgoing hose is still completely blocked? Remember to state all of your assumptions. (b) How far down do you end up pushing the plunger? (c) What is the resultant force on the outgoing hose with the kink in it? The inner radius of the hose is 5 mm. You can 'model the kink as a plug, or a stopper within the hose.
