Question 2 (2/6) Selection of Bearings: Select a single-row, deep-groove ball bearing from Table 14-3 to carry a radial load of (10.500 + (Q/1000) kN) and a thrust load of (3.200 + (Q/1000) kN). The shaft is to rotate at 1111+Q rpm, and a design life of 20 000 + Q h is desired. The minimum acceptable diameter for the shaft is 85 mm. Q is the last three digits (on the right) of your student ID. Question 3 (2/6) Design of Bearings: The shaft shown in Figure 2 carries a transverse load of (24330+ Z N) and a thrust load of (13250+ Z N). The thrust is resisted by bearing A. The shaft rotates at 200+ (Q/2000) rpm and is to be used in a piece of agricultural equipment. Specify suitable tapered roller bearings for the shaft. Z is the last four digitals of your student ID (from the right). radial load F Bearing A Bearing B D thrust load R ITIVT MU Locknut Housing sections 160 mm +(Q/1000) 100 mm +(Q/1000) 260 mm +(Q/500)
