You are investigating the corrosion behaviour of self-assembled nanoparticle (SNAP) coated magnesium alloy for biomedical applications. Figure 2 displays the potentiodynamic polarisation curves of different SNAP coatings tested on Mg alloy in NaCl solution. Stated in the plot are the polarisation curves of blank SNAP coating (SNAP), SNAP coating with mesoporous silica nanoparticles (SNAP-M), SNAP coating with mesoporous silica nanoparticles layer double hydroxide (LDH) (SNAP-M@L) and SNAP coating with mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT)-mesoporous silica nanoparticles layer double hydroxide (LDH) (SNAP-MM@L). Analyze the corrosion behaviour of the coatings compared to bare Mg alloy, by highlighting the current density, potential change and possibility of passivity. Also support the analysis by determining the corrosion rate (mm/y) value of the coatings. 0.0 -- Mg alloy -SNAP SNAP-M - SNAP-M@L SNAP-MM@L -0.5 E vs. SCE/V - 1.0 -1.5 10" 10 -10 10 i /A cm 10* _,104 corr
