Describe baroreflex response to decreased blood pressure.
Historically, due to the baroreflex “resetting” behavior, it wasconsidered unimportant for long term blood pressure control andprevention of chronic hypertension. Describe thisresetting behavior in your response. However, recentresearch suggests that increased activation of the baroreflex byelectrical stimulation of the afferent neurons that signal the NTS,may be a good treatment for hypertension. What do you think? If youthink this will be a good treatment option, comment on someone (not your own) who posted about baroreflexresponse to increased blood pressure, anddescribe why the treatment is a good option.
