Below is the Michaelis-Menten curve for an enzyme (-I) and itsinhibitor (+I). Based upon the curve, determine the type ofreversible inhibitor. Does Vmax stay the same, increase, ordecrease in the presence of the inhibitor? Does Km stay the same,increase or decrease in the presence of the inhibitor? Show Km andKm apparent (Kmapp) on the graph. (Note: Vmax in the absence of theinhibitor is 2 µM/min).
