This case involves Stephanie Clifford, an adult film star, and her reported relations with Donald J. Trump before he was elected president. Clifford's attorney, Michael Avenatti, made several public appearances and statements regarding the case Mr. Trump moved the Court for an order restraining Mr. Avenatti from making certain statements to the press and/or public regarding certain aspects of the case. 1. Should the court grant the request and impose a gag order on Avenatti? Explain your answer in detail. 2. How would such an order restrain free speech and how do we balance that?
