One set of documentsunder collection was received by Asia Islamic Bank from thesupplier’s bank, Noriz Islamic Bank, which was subject to ICCUniform Rules for Collections (URC522). However, the collectioninstruction did not specify the instruction on the delivery of thedocuments. Nevertheless, Asia Islamic Bank was notified by thecustomer that they were given a term of 60 days from the shipmentdate which was consistent with the invoice that was enclosed in thecollection. The customer also informed that this was the term theynormally receive from their supplier. The bill of lading wasconsigned to Asia Islamic Bank.
