Write Research Proposal for this title below.
Topic : Positive impact of digital technology onsociety
Please follow these instructions.
A typical proposal would address the following questions:
 What do you plan to accomplish?
 Why do you want to do it?
 How are you going to do it?
The text of the research proposal should not exceed 3000words.
Introduction.
The researcher should expand on the topic by describing what he/ she hopes to accomplish in his / her final year project – thedesired outcomes, whether it be practical or theoretical. Theresearcher should imagine introducing the title to someone who isnot from the Computing / Technology / Games domain area and haslittle or no knowledge of the title and / or the domain. Therefore,he / she is advised to avoid using jargons or technical terms inthe Introduction only. The researcher is also discouraged fromincluding references, citations and / or definitions within theIntroduction only. It is recommended to explain the title in layterms and where possible, use an analogy.

Problem Statements
The research starts with a problem and ideally should end with asolution to the problem. The problem statement should explain theaim of the research which needs to be justified. The justificationof the research would be rationale for the project to be done, beit the development of a new system / game, the implementation ofsome new features within an existing system / game and / or someimprovements to the current system / game using a new technology. It is essential that the researcher provides his / her argumentclearly in favour of implementing the project, whilst providing thenecessary evidence. This evidence can be obtained in the form ofliterature / data from other researchers. The researcher isreminded to ensure that the problem is not one that is personal tohim / her or to a particular organization. The literature
Research Aims & Objectives
The research aims state the intentions or purposes of theresearcher’s project in general terms. E.g. ......It shoulddescribe the overall ideas presented in the research proposal. Oncethe researcher has established his / her aim, the researcher isexpected to formulate the research objectives. For a computing andtechnology project the objectives can typically be divided intoknowledge and / or skills. The objectives would have to fulfil therequirements of the aim. The objectives should be achievable andthe researcher should take into consideration the timelines for thefinal year. The research aims should typically be related to thedevelopment of the system and could be described in terms of thecore, enhanced and special features of the proposed system. Theresearcher is reminded not to use the term core, enhanced and / orspecial but may discuss the aims in this order.
Research Questions
The research questions would materialize from the researchobjectives. Hence, it should explicitly consist of questions theresearcher would need to research on so that he / she would be ableto proceed with the development of the solution. The researcherwould not need to be concerned with the all the answers at themoment. Rather he / she should include information that he / shedoes not know and therefore intends to find out in the nextsemester in order to develop the final year project. However, should there be some research areas / questions which could beeasily researched on at this point. The researcher may thenconsider seeking such information as soon as possible. Theresearcher is encouraged to divide these questions in specificcategories and ensure that these categories are related to the aimsand objectives specified above. The researcher should consider bothdomain and technical research.
Research Design
The researcher should describe in detail the steps he / she willtake in attempting to his / her research questions. It wouldtypically contain details such as what specific type of researchthe researcher would be using in the final year, including whereand how the data will be obtained and analyzed. The research designshould be specified in the most appropriate order on how theresearch will be carried out and the details of what would be thepotentialresources of the research ranging from reading materialsto respondents. The research design will cover details of how boththe domain and technical research will be carried out. Theresearcher’s design should then map out a proposed work plan andtimeline that would fit one semester.
Personal Reflection
The researcher is encouraged to reflect on potential limitationsand alternative approaches to achieve study aims. In order toachieve this, he / she would need to first have some idea aboutwhat kind of data he / she needs and will be collecting, whatstatistical procedures will be used to gather the data /information to the research questions listed.
References
The researcher should adhere to Harvard Referencing Style whenreferencing materials used in the proposal. The researcher isencouraged to refer to the link below:
