Problem # 2: Hydrogen gas (H₂) enters a compressor at 300 K and 100 kPa at a volumetric flow rate of 1.5 m³/s. The speed of the hydrogen entering is the compressor is 100 m/s. The hydrogen is compressed such that the outlet temperature is 380 K, and the speed at the exit is 20 m/s. Assuming SSSF operation, determine: a) mass flow rate of hydrogen through the compressor in kg/s, b) the diameter of the inlet port assuming circular cross-section (in cm), c) the change in specific enthalpy (h₂- hi) from inlet to outlet in kJ/kg, d) the change in specific kinetic energy from inlet to outlet in kJ/kg, e) the power input to the compressor in kW. State all assumptions you make to solve parts a-e. Inlet: H: gas 100 m/s, 1.5 m³/s 300 K, 100 kPa Compressor Outlet: H: gas 20 m/s, 380 K
