Two capacitors, C₁=3 uF and C₂=8 μF, are connected in series with a 20 V battery. The battery is removed and the plates of like sign are connected. Find the initial and final energies for each capacitor. Inital energy on C₁= Inital energy on C₂ = Final energy on C₂ = Final energy on C₂
A 10 μF capacitor has an initial charge of 15 μC. It is discharged through an 9000f resistor. Find: a) the current at 16 ms; 0.111 mA b) the charge at 16 ms; μC c) the power loss in the resistor at 16 ms. mW d) How long does it take for the energy in the capacitor to drop to 15% of its initial value? ms.
