Question 2 1 pts In the summer, the Northern hemisphere receives far more light than the equator- the North pole can have 20+ hours of daylight! How come is does not get warmer in theses far north latitudes (compared to the equator)? The sunlight is spread over a larger surface and also comes in at a lower angle, reflecting more light. The cool ocean currents in the Northern latitudes moderate the land temperatures, keeping the area cold. The Northern latitudes do not have enough time to warm up as the sunlight decreases in the winter time and goes to days with almost no sunlight in the winter.
