The Media Alert
The Media Alert is a device used to quickly alert the media to animportant, breaking news event. It’s aimed at both broadcast andprint media, but the broadcast world generally thrives on MediaAlerts.
The average Media Alert is short, one page or even one-half page.(See example below.) It states the basic Who, What, When, Where andWhy facts. It is often sent out one or two days before an event,and again on the day of the event.
