A pipe of 65 mm internal diameter is required to be used to increase the temperature of an oil by means of steam. The oil flows into the pipe and enters at a temperature of 40 °C. On the outside of the pipe condenses steam, which keeps the pipe wall at a temperature constant of 100 °C. The flow rate of the oil is 1 m/s. If the oil needs to be heated up to 60 C and the convective coefficient in the water side is 15.9 W/mK. What length if pipe is required?
