What is the Value of Studying the Humanities? Instructions This week, we begin our course by discussing how the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome, India, and China influenced and continue to influence our lives today. But first, let us discuss what YOU think about the humanities in general, and why it is important that you study them, particularly given your chosen field of study. Please feel free to search for articles on the relevance of the humanities for millennials and the importance of its study for any professional, but answer the following questions in your own words: 1. Discuss one or two ways that the study of humanities can benefit society. Please use citations for any referenced material. 2. What do you think the value of studying the humanities is, especially in a business or technical curriculum? 3. How might the study of humanities benefit you in your chosen field of study?
