A patient is brought into a mental health facility for voluntary admission. She is 30 years old and complains of anxiety. She has been prescribed alprazolam 0.25mg PO PRN for anxiety. She states that it does not help her and has developed recurrent attacks and exacerbations of anxiety. She complains of feeling short of breath, palpitations, She states, "Ever since the divorce, its been so hard. I'm barely staying afloat. I've had to relocate and find a new job; so, my insurance hasn't kicked in yet." Using Maslow's hierarchy of needs, what problems/unmet needs do you feel are causing these episodes of anxiousness. Please list them in order according the hierarchy that Maslow has laid out.
