What is the interpretation of these two passages in Plato'sallegory of the cave?
1. Socrates: “Now, if they could speak, would you say that thesecaptives would imagine that the names they gave to the things theywere able to see applied to real things?”
2. Socrates: "Of course, if I’m correct, then some of oureducators are mistaken in their view that it is possible to implantknowledge into a person that wasn’t there originally,like vision into the eyes of a blind man."
