Go to wsj.com. Select Markets, then Markets Data Home, then Stocks, then View Stocks Page, then click on Dividends (under the heading Other US Stocks Data). Answer the following questions. 1. Did any companies announce an increase in their dividend? If so, how many companies on this day? List one company's name. If not, simply write None. 2. Did any companies announce an initial or first ever dividend? If so, how many companies on this day? List one company's name. If not, simply write None. 3. Select one stock that paid a Regular dividend. What is the name of the company? What is the % Yield they pay as a dividend? 4. What was the amount of the dividend in S (for the company you selected in #3 above)? 5. Was this an annual or quarterly dividend for the company you selected in #3 above? 6. What is the record date for the company selected in #3 above? 7. What is the payable date for the company selected in #3 above? Were there any stock splits announced? (This is under the heading "Stocks".) If so, how many? 9. How many stocks are going "Ex-Dividend" tomorrow? (Hint: This will be under the heading "Ex-dividend".) 10.
