(4 marks) (b) Provide a complete stepwise mechanism for the formation of A showing all intermediate structures and all electron flow using the curved arrow convention. (4 marks) (c) Conversion of A into B involves hydrolysis of the ester followed by decarboxylation. Using the structure you draw for compound A provide a mechanism for the decarboxylation step.
