Overview In this assignment you will help SSB, Inc. with their fulfillment process. Specifically you will Define their fulfillment process in terms of the physical flow Execute TWO instances of the process on paper. That is, you will create the various documents needed and ensure that the correct data is included in each document Generate reports based on FIVE instances of the data. 1. 2. 3. The business process The process used by SSB is similar to the one described in Chapter 4. However, there are some differences. These differences are explained below and you must incorporate them in your assignment Fulfillment Process Group Assignment 1. After evaluating the current process, it is determined that the process will be more efficient if an additional step to check the status of inventory is included. This is to ensure that the needed quantities of the materials are available. This steps is to be completed by someone in the warehouse prior to "prepare shipment" step in the process described in the book. SSB's agreements with customers has changed as follows: a. All shipments will now include an additional 10% in shipping costs for orders under $2000 Payment terms are "2/15, net 30" b. 2. 2. Requirements 1. Create a process diagram similar to Figure 4.1 to describe SSBS modified procurement process. Use Microsoft Visio, MS powerpoint or simply in paper to create this diagram Create the documents needed to execute the process for the data provided in the Order Data Section at the end. Be careful to ensure that the data in the documents (dates, quantities, prices, etc.) are accurate. 3.
